1. What are the subscription benefits for individual software products?

Subscription customers will have access to new product features only available under subscription.

2. Are all subscription licensing benefits available to new and converted subscription licenses purchases?

Yes. Subscription benefits are applicable to both new subscription license purchases and subscription licenses converted [beginning April 4, 2022] from existing installed base perpetual licenses.

Through March 2023, Veritas is offering special incentives to migrate the installed base perpetual licenses to subscription licenses at the existing price of maintenance and support on installed base perpetual licenses. In addition, our subscription offerings include limited-time product promotions.

3. Why are we moving to a subscription model?

We are moving to subscription to give customers more flexibility and agility, in line with their preference for a “cloud-like” spend. For Veritas, subscription enables us to become a recurring booking business like other SaaS and subscription companies.
